Coaches play a critical role in reducing the risks associated with concussion in young athletes. The ACTive (Athletic Concussion Training using Interactive Video Education) training provides coaches with the information they need to keep players safe.

ACTive is based on the recommendations of key sports concussion experts from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, International Conference on Concussion in Sport. This 20-minute program presents video, case examples and brief quizzes about recognizing and managing youth sports concussion. In addition, coaches will be provided with tools and resources that they can use on a daily basis.
The Oregon Center for Applied Science, creator of this program, is seeking sponsors to distribute this program to coaches, student athletes, and parents.
